Lincoln's Generals Guestbook

I was leary upon hearing that a non-local group would be representing various generals of the Civil War at The James A Garfield National Historic Site during 7/20-21/13. They were very good & seemed to have the public's interest & enjoyment at heart. I was pleased as I portrayed Mrs. Garfield & believe even Lucretia Rudolph Garfield would have approved!

What a great event. I am so honored to have been asked by General Rawlins to be his Best Man. The General and his lady are some of the finest people I know and wonderful friends.

It was also a great honor to be in the company of some wonderful military historians. And the Generals took it easy on the only enlisted guy. Can't say enough about the men in this group and their ladies. Hope to be a part of it someday.

I am truly honored to be a guest of Lincoln's Generals, most of whom are my very dear friends. They are without a doubt a dedicated and professional living history group who help preserve the memories of those they portray. I wish them well in all of their endeavors. Most respectfully submitted, Major-General Alfred Pleasonton, Confederation of Union Generals (COUG).

It is nice to see so many officers in this organization, especially my old and dear friend, Doc. Letterman. This site should go far in teaching and informing the public about the American Civil War. I am glad there are so many dedicated historians in the association of Lincoln's Generals.
